Handcrafted Leather Daisy Brooch

A bright & cheerful handcrafted leather daisy brooch / pin. It’s comprised of veg-tanned cowhide leather that’s been hand tooled, carved, hammered, stained, painted, sealed & polished to a beautiful sheen. The daisy was painted a vibrant yellow with scalloped petals & tooled detailing. The center of the flower was stained a warm brown with an orange tone that highlights the tooling within. The back of the brooch has a 1” locking pinback. The leather is just shy of 4.5cm (or 1.75") in diameter, 3mm thick & will arrive signed on the back. Brooch: 4cm in diameter - This piece will arrive signed on the back.

This is a scalloped handcrafted veg-tanned cowhide leather brooch with a gorgeous abalone button as the focal piece. The abalone button has beautiful lines & details in lovely shades of green, purple, blue & black. The colors change as the brooch is viewed from different angles. The leather has been tooled for a textured finish, stained an ocean blue, coated for protection & polished to a nice sheen. The back of the brooch has a 1” locking pinback. The leather is 4cm in diameter & 3mm thick.

Leather & Paua Brooch

This is a one of a kind handcrafted veg-tanned cowhide leather & paua brooch. The New Zealand paua shell cabochon measures 40mm x 30mm & has lovely shades of yellow, brown, gold & green with exquisite lines & details. Traditionally, paua has been used to stimulate creativity imagination.

The cowhide leather has been hand tooled for a textured frame, stained, sealed & polished to a nice sheen. I wanted the textured markings on the leather to imitate the rippled sands of the sea. I stained this piece a medium antique brown & added a frosty gold highlight stain to the outer edge.

This brooch has a 1.25" gold plated pinback, is versatile & can be worn at any angle. This accessory will come signed on the back.
